香港市民抗鄭月娥暴政,至今三個多月,手段日趨激烈。八月二十一日,前財政司長曾俊華發表《我們都是香港人》一文,引用印度聖雄甘地「以眼還眼,徒令天下盲目」一語,呼籲「彼此寬恕,然後和解」。這建議當然很好,不過,甘地復起,一定會為香港這場抗暴政運動鼓掌。
不少人以為甘地反對抗暴以武,那是知其一不知其二。甘地認為,抗爭最高境界是以愛及寬恕之心,感化愚頑;不能感化,則應奮起戰鬥。他舉例說:「婦女為保貞操,使用指甲、牙齒甚或匕首,我也會視為非暴力抗爭。」(見一九四零年八月十五日甘地之《Discussion with BG Kher and others》)。甘地還說:「怯懦與暴力二者,如須選擇其一,我取暴力。我寧願印度拿起武器,捍衞其尊嚴,而不願印度有如懦夫,受人屈辱,或不思擺脫屈辱。」(見一九二零年八月十一日《Young India》週刊)。其原文如下:(1)If in defence of their honour they used their nails and teeth and even a dagger I should regard their conduct non-violent。(2)Where there is a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. I would rather India resort to arms in order to defend her honour than that she would, in a cowardly manner, become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonour。
今日鄭月娥政府還口口聲聲說要懲處武力甚至和平抗暴者。香港市民假如報以「寬恕」,將與婦女貼貼服服任人姦污,了無分別,絕對不是甘地鼓吹的非暴力抗爭。
