答：英語學者Frederick Wood English Prepositional Idioms 一書like字條有以下一句：We do not want any more winters like the last one（我們不想再有去年那樣的冬天）。假如要說「不想再有過去兩年那樣的冬天」，則winters like the last one當然要改為winters like the last two。
又韋氏詞典 Merriam-Webster's Advanced Learner's English Dictionary like字條有以下一句：They studied subjects like physics and chemistry（他們攻讀物理、化學等科目）。這一句，文法上當然可以刪去and chemistry二字，只是少舉「化學」這個例子而已。詞典原句就在and chemistry前後加上括號。
