問：Where are you headed?和Where are you going?這兩句，意思相同嗎？
答：這兩句都是問：「你要去哪裏？」Head作動詞，可解作「（使）朝着……方向走」，常用於比喻，指「將會遇上（不幸等）」，例如：（1）He headed for home / for the principal's office（他動身回家／他往校長室走去）。（2）The students know they are heading for trouble, but stand firm in their demand for democracy（學生自知會招禍，但還是堅持要民主）。留意這個head之後，可用for帶出所要去的地方或會遇上的事物，所以，「你要去哪裏？」英文也可以說：Where are you headed for?但這for字一般會略去，正如Where are you going to?這一句，那to字通常都不會用。又head可作主動語態，即Where are you heading (for) ?但這主動語態說法較為少見。
