"Ibecameagitatedandyelledout,'Youidiots!Howwouldyoufeelifshewereyourmother?'Atthesametime,Ihandedherthetrousersthattheyhadtakenoff.

一九四三年，華中一名日軍來到剛被他同袍佔領的一個村莊：
「那些士兵把一個老婦人從病榻上拖了起來。那婦人似是為了保護她的房子，獨留村中。當時天氣苦寒，士兵把她下半身脫光，要她坐在椅上，用刀輕挑她陰部。她流着血，驚恐得渾身發抖。
「我激動起來，叫道：『你們這些白癡！假如她是你們老母，你們會有什麼感想？』我把她被脫掉的褲子還給她。
「由於那些士兵的惡行，排長命令我們絕食一天。他自己當然也有絕食。」
