答：My(sainted/giddy)aunt（我神聖的/輕浮的姑母）是感歎詞，表示難以置信，多見於英式英語。Invocation的本義是「向神的祈求」，這裏指myaunt一語。毛姆那兩句可翻譯如下：「她說：『我的媽呀！』聽這聲呼喚的語氣，可以知道她對那樣平凡的東西由衷反感。」
