JanealsomadeseveraldescentsonNormandy,whoseinhabitantssawthisbeautifulwoman,withaswordinonehandandatorchinanother,eyeingwithpleasureallthehorrorsofhermisplacedrevenge.
In1356,JaneretiredfrompiracytomarryanEnglishlieutenant.SheeventuallyreturnedtoFrance,andin1359diedthere,nearthelandsheandherbelovedOliverhadonceowned.
