ThelastGermansoldiertodiewasLeutnantTomas.Hewasshotafterthe11amarmisticewhenhewenttoinformapproachingAmericansoldiersthatheandhismenwouldbevacatingtheirbillets.

奧古斯坦．特雷布肖是最後一個被殺的法國軍人：他上午十時四十五分中槍，當時正要去告訴同袍說，停火之後有熱湯吃。美國的亨利．根室是最後一個戰死的士兵：休兵前六十秒鐘，他衝向德軍，令明知快要停火的德軍都感到愕然。
德軍最後一個被殺的是托馬斯少尉。他上午十一時休兵之後遭槍殺，當時他正迎着到來的美軍走去，準備告訴美軍說，他和手下將撤離所居民房。
