SotheirbodieswerewrappedinablanketandplacedinthegardenjustoutsidetheFuhrerbunker'semergencyexit.Hitler'sSSadjutantOttoGunschepouredgasolineoverthemandsetfiretothem.WhilethebunkerwaspoundedbyaheavyRussianbombardment,Goebbels,Bormann,Burgdorf,Kempke,andGunschestoodatattentionandforthelasttimegavetheHitlersalute.
ThecharredremainswerefoundbytheRussiansandburiedinMagdeburg,EastGermany.InApril1970,theseremainswereexhumed,completelycremated,anddispersedintheElberiver.

蘇軍找到燒焦了的希特勒夫婦遺體，葬在東德馬格德堡。一九七○年，當局把遺體掘出，徹底火化，撒進易北河裏。
