「赤子之心」英文怎麼說？
初生嬰兒身體呈紅色，所以叫「赤子」，「赤子之心」指小孩子的純真。孟子「大人者，不失其赤子之心者也」一語的朱熹集注是「赤子之心，則純一無偽而已」。這「赤子之心」可譯做theinnocenceandguilelessnessofachild。謹以孟子那句話為例：Agreatmanisonewhoremainsasinnocentandguilelessasanewbornchild。
「非社稷之福」英文是notintheinterestofsociety還是notintheinterestofthesociety？
Society是「社會」，而「社會」和「社稷」不同。我國古帝王祭社（土神）稷（穀神），為天下求福，所以「社稷」成為「國家」的代名詞，等於英文的country。唐朝名相李絳有「使直士杜口，非社稷之利」一語，英文可譯做Silencingtheuprightisofnobenefittothecountry。
至於說「社會」的society，習慣不冠以the，除非society之後用「of+名詞」說明某個社會，例如：（1）InmodernChinesesociety/InthesocietyofmodernChina,deceitisasrespectableascommunism（在現代中國社會，欺騙和共產主義一樣得人尊敬）。（2）Itisnotintheinterest/interestsofsocietytobantradeunions（取締工會，對社會沒有好處）。留意說「利益」，interest之後多加s，但不加也可以。
此外，說「社團」或「會社」的society須冠以the，例如：HeisthechairmanofthePhotographySociety（他是攝影會主席）。
