「委任」是短暫的行為，宣布時已經委任，所以動詞不應用現在式isappointed，應用現在完成式hasbeenappointed。Togetherwith（連同）、aswellas（以及）等，不是連接詞（conjunction），所帶出的名詞並非句子主詞（subject）的一部分，不會令主詞變成複數，例如：Thecat,togetherwith/aswellasthechickens,hasdiedfromsomedisease（貓和雞都患病死亡）。讀者示下那一句，togetherwithAmyHancock這片語（phrase）可以略去，所以代名詞應用he。
