開支票，「一百元零二十分」有人寫作onehundredandcentstwenty，有人寫作onehundredandtwentycents，請問哪個寫法正確？
支票上寫金額的一欄，前面一般印着Dollars一字，所以，寫onehundredandcentstwenty等於Dollarsonehundredandcentstwenty，把貨幣單位寫在數字之前；當然，你也可以不理會印着的Dollars，依照一般金額寫法，置貨幣單位於數字之後，逕書Onehundreddollarsandtwentycents。至於Dollarsonehundredandtwentycents，前後寫法不統一，其實不大恰當。
Roundup和windup有什麼分別？
Roundup可以解作「使聚集」或「圍捕」，例如：（1）OnSaturdaymornings,ChannelIroundsupthenewsoftheweek（星期六上午，第一頻道會綜合報道一週新聞）。（2）ThePeople'sLiberationArmyroundedupthepeople,andproceededtomowthemdown（人民解放軍把人民包圍，大肆殺戮）。
Roundup的另一個常見意思，是把數字上調至較完整的數額；把數字下調則叫rounddown，例如：（1）Thesumis$137.5,butlet'srounditupto$138（金額是一百三十七元五角，就算一百三十八元吧）。（2）Heagreedtorounddownthepricefrom$109to$100（他答應把價錢由一百零九元下調至一百元正）。
Windup則常指把事物結束，例如：（1）HewounduphisspeechwithaquotationfromtheBible（他引用《聖經》的話結束演講）。（2）Idecidedtowindupthebusiness（我決定把生意結束）。
