「真漢子」英文怎麼譯才好？
「男子漢」英文就是man，例如：Sheismoreofamanthanherhusband（她比她丈夫更有男兒氣概）。「配得上某名稱的」則是worththename，例如：NoBuddhistworththenamewouldwearfurs（真正佛教徒不會穿皮衣）。「真漢子」可譯做amanworththename。「文天祥是個真漢子」英文是：WenTien-hsiangwasamanworththename。
英文老師說besides不可以和inaddition或also通用，但他的解釋我無法明白，先生可以談談嗎？
Besides、inaddition、also都有「此外」或「再者」的意思。至於用法，also較少用來起句，一般用於句中，例如：Hisproposalisunreasonableasittotallyignorestheinterestsoftheothernegotiatingparty.Itisalsoimpracticable（他的建議不合理，因為完全忽視談判中另一方的利益。此外，這建議也不可能實行）。
Besides和inaddition則往往通用。牛津出版社第四版APracticalEnglishGrammar說，besides作介系詞，等於inadditionto；作副詞，等於inaddition:"Besides(preposition)meansinadditionto....Besides(adverb)meansinaddition"。以下兩句，用besides或inaddition連接都可以：Hisproposalisunreasonableasitignorestheinterestsoftheothernegotiatingparty.Besides/Inaddition,itisimpracticable。
Besides和inaddition的唯一分別，在於besides常用來帶出有結論含義的一點，而這一點或可解釋前文所說的事，例如：I'mnotgoingtohisparty.I'mengagedthatevening.Besides,Idon'tlikehim（我不會去他的派對，那晚我沒有空。而且我不喜歡他）。這一句改用inaddition就沒有那麼好。
