BeingborninHongKong,Ireceivededucation/waseducatedinHongKong（我生於香港，自然是在香港受教育）一語，應用receivededucation還是waseducated？Being一字可以刪去嗎？
「受教育」英文說receivededucation或waseducated都可以，分別只在於一用名詞education，一用動詞educated。Educated一字多用被動語態（passivevoice），但用主動語態（activevoice）也可以，例如：Nodictatoreverwantstoeducatethepeople（獨裁者都不想國民獲得教育）。
BeingborninHongKong的being，有「由於」含義，例如：（1）Beingpoor,heoftengoeshungry（他很窮，常常食不果腹）。（2）Theweatherbeingfine,Itookthedogforawalk（天氣很好，我牽狗去散步）。BeingborninHongKong是說「由於在香港出世」。
BorninHongKong,IwaseducatedinHongKong這一句也沒有錯，只是沒有了being的意思。英文常用born之類過去分詞（pastparticiple）起句，例如：（1）BorninHongKong,heneverthelessspentmostofhislifeinCanada（他在香港出世，大半生卻在加拿大度過）。（2）EducatedinHongKong,hewenttoworkinNorway（他在香港受教育，到挪威工作）。
「無底洞」英文怎麼說？
「無底洞」可譯做bottomlesspit/gulf，例如：（1）AvastportionoftheChinesepopulacehassunkintothebottomlessgulfofignoranceandpoverty（中國一大部份人口墮進愚昧、貧窮的無底洞裏）。（2）Itispointlesstotrytofillthebottomlesspitofthepeople'smedicalneeds（百姓的醫療需求是個無底洞，要填平並非可能）。
