2/3、3/4等，英文叫twothird、threefourth還是twothirds、threefourths？又兩字之間要加連字號（hyphen）嗎？其他分數說法，先生可不可以談談？
2/3是two-thirds，3/4是three-quarters/fourths，12/18是twelve-eighteenths（或twelveovereighteen）。兩字之間的連字號可以略去，那s卻不可少。
當然，1/3、1/4、1/18等，則不用s：a/onethird、a/onequarter/fourth、an/oneeighteenth（或one-eighteenth）。說「之一」，a/an比one常用。說「四分」，英式英語多用quarter一字，美式則也會用fourth。留意「十個四分之一」、「十個十八分之一」等須用複數形式：tenonequarters、tenone-eighteenths。
分數和整數連用，則在整數之後加and，例如11/3是oneandathird，82/9是eightandtwo-ninths。
最後要說1/2。「某事物的二分之一」是(a)halfofsomething，那a字往往略去；但half和整數連用，則a不可省略，例如：（1）(A)Halfofthecakehasbeeneaten（那蛋糕吃了二分之一）。（2）Thecakeweighedtwoandahalfkilograms（那蛋糕重二又二分之一公斤）。
要說repeatedlycriticise（反覆批評），有沒有動詞片語（phrasalverb）可用？
第二版《朗文當代高級詞典》carpon/about/at的解釋是tofindfaultandcomplaincontinuouslyandunnecessarily（挑剔並不斷不必要的批評）。這詞語有貶義，例如：Sheisalwayscarpingatherhusbandaboutthisandthat（她丈夫什麼事情都被她挑剔）。
