答案是tounderstand。英文有些句子，其主詞（subject）其實是動詞的受詞（object），例如：（1）Heisdifficulttoplease（要他高興很不容易）。（2）Thesightwasterribletosee（那情景怵目驚心）。（3）Thebeefwasnotsafetoeat（吃這牛肉並不安全）。這些句子不用被動語態（passivevoice）。
