NapoleonBonaparte,whomarriedJosephinein1796anddivorcedherin1809,issaidtohavetoldtheamorousEmpressonenightwhenhewasrestingbeforebattle:“Nottonight,Josephine.”ThereisalsoasayingattributedtoJosephine:“Bonaparteisgoodfornothing.”
拿破崙戰爭期間，優禮婦女作風未戢。英國海軍部的大人先生得悉法國王后約瑟芬在馬邁松宮殿開闢花園種植海外奇葩，就下令英國所有船長，凡在俘獲的船上找到致約瑟芬王后的植物、種子，都要馬上轉寄給她。
拿破崙．波拿巴一七九六年迎娶約瑟芬，一八○九年和她離婚。據說，拿破崙有一晚正在休息，準備戰爭，對求歡的約瑟芬說：「約瑟芬，今晚不行。」還有一句話據說是約瑟芬說的：「波拿巴什麼都不行。」
【附注】Nottonight,Josephine一語很有名，現在仍然用作拒絕人家的戲語，但應該不是出自拿破崙之口，只是英國維多利亞時代舞台上的創作。
