And和aswellas有什麼分別？
And和aswellas都可譯做「以及」，但意思上兩個詞語有點不同，文法上於是也有分別。
And連接的名詞、動詞等，文法上地位相埒，都可以作主詞（subject）、主要動詞等，例如：（1）JaneandMaryweresuspiciousofhim（珍和瑪麗對他有疑心）。（2）Heworksinthedaytimeandgoestoschoolatnight（他白天工作，夜晚上學）。
Aswellas帶出的名詞、動詞等，卻只是附帶的說明，所以，和主詞連用，不屬於主詞一部分；和主要動詞連用，也不算是主要動詞，例如：（1）Jane,aswellasMary,wassuspiciousofhim（珍和瑪麗一樣，對他有疑心）。（2）Aswellasworkinginthedaytime,hegoestoschoolatnight（他除了白天工作，夜晚還上學）。第一句主要說的是珍，動詞也就用單數形式的was；第二句重點在他夜晚上學，留意aswellas之後動詞用ing形式。
Aswellas片語是附帶說明，所說事情人家大概已經知道。例如Thestationersellsbooksaswellasstationery（那文具店不但賣文具，而且賣書）這一句，不宜改為Thestationersellsstationeryaswellasbooks，因為要強調的是「文具店賣書」，不是「文具店賣文具」。
Jane,MaryandTomweresuspiciousofhim是說三人都起疑；JaneandMaryaswellasTomweresuspiciousofhim是說起疑的除了湯姆還有珍和瑪麗；Jane,MaryaswellasTomweresuspiciousofhim則把aswellas作and用，是不當的說法。
