【解說】Bothered是「費事」或「費神」，其後可用「to+原形動詞（infinitive）」，也可用ing形式動詞，意思沒有分別，例如：Don'tbothertocome/comingwithmeinthisheat,Iknowthewaytothestationverywell（天氣這麼熱，你不要和我同行了。我很清楚怎樣去車站）。
不過，有些字之後，用ing形式動詞或「to+原形動詞」，意思會有不同。例如：（1）Itriedgoingwithoutlunch（我試用「不吃午餐」的方法）。（2）Itriedtogowithoutlunch（我嘗試不吃午餐）。（3）Irememberedshuttingthewindow（我記得當時把窗關上了）。（4）Irememberedtoshutthewindow（我記得要把窗關上）。
