八月十五日貴欄Idon'trecallevergivingyouanysuchmission（我完全記不起給過你這樣的使命）一語，那mission是可數名詞，為甚麼不冠以a字？句子改為givingyousuchmission可以嗎？
Any是「任何」的意思，可用在單數可數名詞（singularcountablenoun）之前，取代a或an，意思則當然有點不同，例如：Givemeadictionary──anyEnglish-Chinesedictionarywilldo（給我一本字典，任何英漢字典都可以）。讀者說的那句，刪去any一字，就必須加a：givingyousuchamission。兩個說法語氣有點不同，一是說「沒給過你任何這樣的使命」，一是說「沒給過你這樣的使命」，不過，論中文翻譯，加上「任何」二字就顯得累贅。
我正着手寫本學年會計科教學綱領，以下一句有問題嗎？──Letstudentsknowaccountingcanbeaskillleadingtoabrightcareerpath,orthatcouldbeabusedtocausedisastrousconsequences（令學生知道會計這門技巧，可以給你前程似錦的職業，也可以濫用，引致災難後果）。
這一句的that宜改為it；could宜改為can，和句子前半截一致；tocause有inordertocause（以便引起）含義，不如用andcause；連接詞or應改為but。我會把句子改寫如下：（1）Letstudentsknowthataccountingisaskillthatcanleadtoabrightcareer,butitcanalsobeabused,withdisastrousconsequences。（2）Letstudentsknowthataccountingisaskillthatcanleadtoabrightcareeror,ifabused,todisaster。
