舒曼-海因克是二十世紀初歌劇女低音歌手。當時社會仍然容許出色歌手身材碩大一點，為肺部提供所需能量。有一天，她滿心暢快坐下來，面前是一巨型牛排，還在盤子上噝噝作響，令人垂涎。
歌劇男高音歌手卡羅索剛巧走過，愕然望着牛排，問：「這牛排你不是要獨自吃吧？」
舒曼-海因克很不屑的回答：「當然不是。我準備和馬鈴薯一起吃。」
