Fondmemory是甚麼意思？
讀者應該都知道fond是形容詞，解作「喜歡」，例如：Sheisfondofswimming（她喜歡游泳）。但fond還可解作「情深的」或「憐愛的」，習慣用在名詞之前，例如：（1）Hegavehiswifeafondlook（他情深款款，望了望妻子）。（2）Hisfondparentsareblindtohisfaults（他父母溺愛他，對他的過失視而不見）。Fondmemory就是「情深一往的回憶」，例如：HehasveryfondmemoriesofMacau,wherehespentmostofhischildhood（他童年大部份時間在澳門度過，對澳門有很美好的回憶）。
「人生自是有情癡」，所以fond有時可解作「癡心妄想」，例如：IdidnothavethehearttodashhisfondhopethathewouldlivetoseeafreeChina（他癡心妄想要在有生之年看到中國自由，我不忍喚醒他的夢）。
「弦外之音」英文怎樣說？
「弦外之音」恐怕沒有同義的英文成語，但可譯做implication（暗示）或themeaningbehindwhatissaid（說話背後的意思），例如：（1）Thoughhedidnotsayasmuch,hisimplicationwasthatyouwereinlovewithhim（他雖然沒有這樣說，但暗示你愛上了他）。（2）Doyouseethemeaningbehindthegovernment'sstatement?（政府那則聲明有弦外之音，你明白嗎？）此外，你還可用suggest來說「弦外之音是……」，例如：HewassuggestingthatIwasinexperiencedwhenhestressedtheimportanceofexperience（他強調經驗重要，弦外之音是我缺乏經驗）。
