「輸打贏要」英文怎麼說？
近年香港流行「輸打贏要」四字：道理上明明輸了，卻像贏了一樣逼人順從。西方以至舊中國都沒有這樣的成語，因為沒有這樣的風氣。輸打贏要只是新中國的最高法律。
這條隱形法律怎樣翻譯，得看情況而定。例如「在行政長官任期問題上，中共輸打贏要」一語，可以翻譯如下：WithregardtothetermofofficeoftheChiefExecutive,theBeijingauthoritiesaredrivingacoachandhorsesthroughtheBasicLaw。Coach是四輪大馬車，通常用四匹馬拉；todriveacoachandhorsesthroughsomething即「駕馬車直穿過去」，自然撞出一個大洞。換言之，是「破壞無遺」。
一般而言，「輸打贏要」可以譯做topressonregardlessoftheuntenabilityofone'sposition。Presson有「加緊推動」、「繼續力行」的意思，untenability則是指理論等「站不住腳」，例如：Thegovernmentpressesonwiththereclamationoflandfromthesearegardlessoftheuntenabilityofitsposition（政府輸打贏要，繼續填海）。
Inthelightof和inlightof有甚麼分別？
Inthelightof和inlightof意思沒有不同，都是說「在……的光線下看到」，一般引伸解作「鑑於」，美式英文多略去the字，例如：In(the)lightofthenewarchaeologicalfinds,hecametobelievethatbirdsevolvedfromdinosaurs（鑑於考古上的新發現，他終於認為飛鳥是恐龍演變而成的）。
