Pleaseturnoffyourmobilephoneandkeepsilence（請關掉手提電話，不要說話）這一句，silence是不是應改為silent？
Keep可以是及物動詞（transitiveverb），即必須有受詞（object）；也可以是不及物動詞（intransitiveverb），其後常用形容詞（adjective）或分詞（participle，即完成式或ing形式動詞）。例如：（1）Shekepthercomposureinspiteofbeinglaughedat（她雖然被嘲笑，卻還是那麼沉着）。（2）Hekeptquietandrefusedtoanswermyquestions（他一言不發，不肯回答我的問題）。（3）Hekeptpesteringuswithemails（他不斷用電子郵件煩擾我們）。
Keepsilence和keepsilent的keep，一作及物動詞，一作不及物動詞，都是正確用法。這裏且舉兩個例子：（1）Ikeptsilenceallthetime（我始終沒有說話）。（2）Howcanyoukeepsilentwhenyouseeyournationsinkingundertyranny?（你看見自己的國家在苛政下沉淪，怎能默不作聲？）
早上上班「忘記打卡」，英文怎麼說？
「上班打卡」，英式英文叫clockin，美式叫punchin；「下班打卡」則英式英文叫clockout，美式叫punchout。Punch有「打」的意思，例如：（1）Thebusconductorpunchedmyticket（巴士售票員在我的車票上打了個孔）。（2）Ipunchedhiminthestomach（我一拳打在他的肚子上）。「我今早上班忘記打卡」可譯做Iforgottoclock/punchinwhenIarrivedatworkthismorning。
