Befallen是befall的完成式，過去式則是befell，意思是「降臨」，多指惡事降臨，例如：Whatdisasterhasfallen(him)?（有甚麼災難降臨（他身上）了？）這個動詞有沒有受詞（object）都可以，一般見於書面，不會用於口頭。
