看《教父》第三集劇本，見一人病發倒地後，喘着大氣說：I'vegotmywindback。Windback是甚麼意思呢？
Back其實不是和wind連用，而是和get。Wind可指「吸呼」或「氣息」，所以吹奏的管樂器叫windinstrument，運動員第一輪氣力耗盡之後再生的氣力，叫secondwind，例如：Withtheonsetofhissecondwind,hisexhaustiondisappeared（他氣力再生，倦意全消）。
Togetone'swindback就是「恢復正常呼吸」，也作torecoverone'swind，例如：Pantingheavily,hestoppedforawhiletogethiswindback（他氣喘如牛，暫時停下來緩緩氣）。另一常見成語，是toknockthewindoutofone，指撞擊某人腹部，使他一時洩了氣。Hegavemeapunchinthestomach,andknockedthewindoutofme即「他一拳打在我肚子上，我五臟六腑空氣似乎都給擠了出去」。
I'llgotellmymother（我去告訴母親）一語，文法是不是不正確？
Go（去）、come（來）二字之後，可用to帶出另一動詞，例如：I'llgototellmymother、Cometolivewithme（來和我一起住吧）等。較隨便的英語，會把to改為and；美式口頭英語，有時更把to或and都略去。換言之，I'llgo(and)tellmymother、Come(and)livewithme等句子，都不算錯誤，但書面上最好還是用gototell、cometolive之類正式說法。
