一九四六年，在密蘇里州一個邱吉爾半身像揭幕禮上，一位身材豐滿的美女走到邱吉爾跟前說：「邱吉爾先生，我從一百多英里外走來，專為參觀你的半身像。」邱吉爾回答說：「小姐，假如能夠參觀你的半截身，我走一百多英里也非常樂意。」
【解說】Bust可以有兩個解釋，一是半身雕像，一是女人的胸部。Unveil是揭幕或除去遮蔽物。邱吉爾把那美女說的bust一字變了意思，語帶雙關，這英文叫做pun，例如：Churchillpunnedonthetwosensesof"bust"（邱吉爾以bust的兩個意思作戲言）。留意男人胸部叫chest，不可叫bust；醫學上，女人胸部也叫chest，例如：ShehadtogoforachestX-ray（她要去接受胸部X光檢查）。
Dedication除了解作「奉獻」，還有「啟用禮」、「開幕禮」的意思，例如：Themayorofficiatedatthededicationofthenewlibrary（市長主持新圖書館的開幕禮）。
