【解說】Acertainaristocrat的certain是「某一」的意思，和Heiscertaintocome（他一定會來）的certain不同，例如：Iamtoacertainextentsatisfiedwiththeresult（我對結果多少都算滿意）。今天新中國一律把這個certain譯做「一定」，例如說「我在一定程度上對結果感到滿意」等，簡直不知所謂。
Pacific是「和平」，例如：TheChineseareapacificpeople（中國人愛好和平）。PacificOcean（太平洋）就是因為十六世紀航海家麥哲倫來到這片海域時風平浪靜而得名。
