CopiesofthefirsttreatybetweentheUnitedStatesandJapan,theTreatyofKanagawa,thatendedJapan'sseclusionfromtherestoftheworld,wentondisplayattheUSNationalArchivetocelebratethe150thanniversaryofthesigning.ThisJapanesewoodcutisarenditionofoneoftheUS"blackships"inTokyoBayin1853,whichhelpedpersuadetheJapanesetonegotiatethetreaty.
