問「王子最後有沒有和公主結婚」，英文是Didtheprincemarrytheprincessintheend?還是Didtheprincemarrytheprincessatlast?
Atlast是「終於」，指事情經過不少阻滯然後發生；要加強語氣，可說atlonglast，例如：（1）Iwaitedforhours.Atlasthearrived（我等了幾個小時，他終於來了）。（2）Weworkedandworked,andatlonglastgotthejobfinished（我們埋頭苦幹，工作終於做完了）。
留意lastly跟atlast不同。Lastly常用來帶出一連串事物的最後一項，例如：（1）Lastly,thespeakerthankedhissupporters（最後，講者向支持他的人致謝）。（2）Hegaveseveralreasonsforhisfailure:badluck,keencompetitionand,lastly,stupidityonthepartoftheadjudicators（他列舉了自己失敗的幾個原因：運氣不好，競爭激烈，還有評判者愚昧無知）。
至於intheend，多是指事情的結局，其後不可用介系詞（preposition）of，例如：（1）Itriedtooutwithim,butintheendIhadtoadmitdefeat（我想用計勝他，但最後還是不得不認輸）。（2）Hediedintheend（最後，他死了）。第二句假如改為Hediedatlast（他終於死了），就有點「要他死真不容易」含義。「王子公主」那一句問愛情結局，當然也應用intheend。
又請留意attheend和intheend不同：attheend指「……的盡頭」，常用of帶出那「……」，例如：Theyaregettingmarriedattheendofthemonth（他們月底結婚）。
